Citizens Advice Worcester and Herefordshire have an opportunity for a part time Specialist Adviser to work with St Richard’s Hospice. The post holder will be based at the Hospice and work within the Family Support Service Team as part of the multi-disciplinary palliative care team.

The Specialist Advisor will provide a holistic, accessible and in-depth advice service, tailored to individual circumstances within the aims, policies and principles of the Citizens Advice service and St Richard’s Hospice to individuals, carers and families across South Worcestershire living with life threatening illness.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of advice work, client representation and managing a case load within a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should also have an awareness of the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Service and be willing to undertake the Citizens Advice Generalist Advice Training Course. Excellent communication skills and an understanding of issues affecting clients facing life limiting illness or bereavement are also essential.
