Do you want to work for an organisation that makes a difference, every single day, to people from all walks of life? CAM is one of the largest and most diversely funded Local Citizens Advice - we are a modern, innovative and progressive advice service that employs around 200 people (60 of whom provide specialist casework services in Housing, Debt and Welfare Benefits). The people that turn to CAM need help overcoming an obstacle in their lives, you’ll support some of our most vulnerable clients with complex and life changing issues such as unlawful eviction, disrepair, eviction and homelessness.

We’re seeking someone to provide high quality housing advice and legal services, you’ll handle your own caseload of matters from instruction through to completion, acting on behalf of tenants at County Court and beyond. Ideally we’re seeking a qualified advocate and experienced Legal Aid professional with a minimum of 3 years PQE in order to assume responsibility for SRA and Training Contract compliance, however we're happy to receive applications from candidates able to satisfy LAA supervisor standards in the category of housing&debt. We’ll also consider applicants who have less PQE and are willing to take on this responsibility in the near future. We value all our people and can offer a supportive culture within a charity setting that is committed to social justice.

The role attracts an attractive remuneration package with excellent terms (see job pack for full info).

Every local Citizens Advice is a registered charity. Different application procedures are adopted by individual local Citizens Advice. Contact the relevant one as outlined in the information about this role. You should not send an application form to national Citizens Advice.

All local Citizens Advice produce their own annual report, but you can find out more about the Citizens Advice network or download the latest national Citizens Advice annual report.
